Hepatitis

Hepatitis is a condition characterized by inflammation of the liver, which can result from both infectious viruses and non-infectious agents. The disease is primarily caused by five main strains of the Hepatitis virus: A, B, C, D, and E. Among these, Hepatitis B and C are the leading causes of serious liver conditions such as cirrhosis and liver cancer, and they account for the majority of viral hepatitis-related deaths. On the other hand, Hepatitis A and E, though generally less severe, can still pose significant health risks, particularly in children. Currently, there is no available vaccine for Hepatitis C.
